It depends on the product, the surface prep and sun exposure, but Ontario's freeze-thaw cycles and UV exposure are harder on exterior paint than a milder climate, which is why exterior-rated products are formulated to flex and resist that cycling.
Most exterior paints have a minimum application temperature, commonly around 10°C, and will not cure properly below it, which is why exterior painting in Ontario is largely a spring-through-fall job.
